We are happy to be partnered with a well stablished family run business who are seeking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team in Stradbroke - Suffolk
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be working alongside and closely supporting the Engineering Manager with plant maintenance and day to day tasks.
This is a great opportuity for someone that is looking to progress in their career and join a company that trully belives in investing in thier people.
Shift Pattern: Full-time role, Monday to Friday with a mix of days, earlies and lates with some weekend hours (with paid overtime). No night shifts.
as a Maintenance engineer you will be:
* Efficiently maintain & repair electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
* Undertake diagnostic and fault-finding procedures.
* Conduct routine maintenance and general upkeep of plant equipment.
* Attend mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
* Assist with small projects and continuous improvements.
* The right candidate will also need to show a commitment to quality and safety as well as assisting in keeping the factory safe and compliant.
Desired skills and experience:
* Electrically qualified and Competent Multi skilled Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical)
* Previous experience in FMCG or food industry
* Ability to manage conflicting priorities and variations to workload.
* The ideal candidate should have high level of problem-solving skills, experience working with industrial electrical systems, plant machinery and packaging machinery.
* Understanding electrical drawings.
* Maintain and update planned preventative maintenance schedules.
* Being able to identify faults or hazards and troubleshooting system failures
