Purpose

This role will oversee the management of multiple clean water utility frameworks throughout the North East.

Specific Responsibilities

Accountable for the successful management of frameworks.
Supervise and coach Site Managers to ensure effective operations.
Oversee operational and technical elements of multiple water utility frameworks.
Ensure all projects are delivered within financial budgets and tight time constraints, providing regular reports to Directors, including profit and loss accounts.
Manage KPIs and staff production.
Monitor health, safety, quality, and environmental issues, working closely with the SHEQ team to ensure safe delivery of works, addressing any issues and ensuring quality.
Manage subcontractors, plant, and materials.
Act as the key contact for liaising with clients and local authorities, conducting regular progress meetings.
Provide effective monthly reporting to the Framework Director.
Build relationships with key stakeholders and communicate relevant contractual information as required.
Identify and implement opportunities for commercial efficiency's across operational activities and contracts.
Lead contract negotiations and implement contract variations as needed.
Resolve contract-related issues and disputes with suppliers.
Ensure all processes are in line with legislation and company policies, maintaining confidentiality and proper documentation.
Complete contract close-out, review contracts for extension or renewal, and assist procurement teams with re-procurement as applicable.Qualifications

Competencies: Knowledge & Experience

Experienced Water Contracts Manager with the ability to organise and manage the completion of site works from a SHEQ and commercial perspective.
At least 5 years of management experience working on water utility projects, ideally for a main contractor.
Excellent knowledge of utility projects and legislation within the utilities industry.
Professionally qualified with NRSWA Supervisor, SMSTS, and NEBOSH/IOSH as a minimum.
Proven track record of successful project delivery from start to finish.
Excellent commercial and programming awareness.
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
Full UK driving licence.Additional Information

Full-time permanent role, 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, based in the Widnes Office.
