Accounts Assistant

Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a business who are based on the outskirts of Preston and have been operating for over 100 years. They are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a full-time and permanent basis, and are offering a wide variety of benefits including study support and 25 days annual leave.

Your New Role as the Accounts Assistant:

As the Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for the following duties:-

- General administrative support for the Finance Director and Company Accountant
- Preparation and processing of sales invoices and liaise with customers as required
- Credit Control
- Processing and checking monthly expenses and mileage claims
- Managing the monthly costing process
- Producing monthly cost reports
- Assist with filing of documentation and archiving processes
- Ensure that Company procedures are followed correctly and report any breaches to the Company Accountant
- Liaison with operational and service departments as required
- Communicate and liaise with all other staff and supervisors to provide a teamwork approach to problem solving and carrying out tasks
- Assist with Purchase Ledger, Sub-contractors and payroll when required.

- A developing knowledge of accounting processes
