Our client is a leading provider of Security solutions, specialising in CCTV, Access control, and Intruder alarms. With a focus on Residential, Commercial, and Education settings, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality installations and exceptional service to their clients. They are currently seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join their team and contribute to their continued success.

Position Overview:
As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems, Access control systems, and Intruder alarms. Experience with Paxton and Texecom systems is highly desirable. The role will involve working on projects in various settings, including residential properties, commercial buildings, and educational institutions. Some nights away from home may be required each month for large installation projects. Additionally, you will be part of an on-call rotation, with the current schedule being 1 in 5 for Engineers. Travel time is compensated, and you will receive payment from door to door.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and commission CCTV systems, access control systems, and intruder alarms according to project specifications and industry standards.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and perform repairs as needed to ensure the continued functionality and reliability of security systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with project managers, other engineers, and clients to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines.
Provide training and support to end-users on the operation and maintenance of security systems.
Complete accurate documentation, including installation reports, service records, and client communications.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Security Engineer, with a focus on installing and maintaining CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
Proficiency with Paxton and Texecom systems is highly beneficial.
Strong technical skills and knowledge of security system components, wiring, and installation techniques.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
Willingness to travel and work nights away from home as required for project installations.
Availability to participate in an on-call rotation schedule, including evenings and weekends.
