Stress Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)

Have you at least three years' experience of stress analysis for mechanical engineering projects?

Are you comfortable with analytical tools (FEA, system analysis, Ansys) and carrying out structural analysis to a high standard suitable for external bodies?

Can you perform hand calculations from first principles?

We're looking for a Stress Engineer to provide analytical services to the mechanical design team and ensure that product designs meet the required level of integrity. * Undertake analysis tasks (FEA, System Analysis, Rotordynamics) 
* Support manufacturing and purchasing concession requests
* Provide critique of analytical and design proposals to ensure product integrity
* Create engineering analysis cost estimations

* In-depth knowledge of structural analysis techniques, including fatigue analysis to the level required for component certification by outside bodies
* In-depth knowledge and hands on experience of the use of FEA software
* Ability to perform complex hand calculations from first principles
