Position Overview:
We are hiring for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who has a thorough understanding of AutoCAD and SolidWorks to support an ongoing project involving commissioning, troubleshooting and upgrades to a manufacturing plant in Sweden.
This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a large scale project with accommodation and travel expenses covered!!
You will be working as part of a wider team to help develop and optimise the growing manufacturing facility including:
* Perform calculations in regards to strength of materials, speeds, temperature and pressure, amongst others.
* Developing equipment, processes and products to enhance the production function
* Produce working drawings for accuracy, material selection, machining techniques, finishes, hardness etc.
* Review existing drawings for accuracy
* Work with other members of the wider manufacturing team to deliver design solutions to resolve production problems
* Delivering optimisation recommendations based on findings
* Designing tooling from sketches and conversations
Required Skills:
* Good written and spoken English language skills
* Proven mechanical design experience
* Specific AutoCAD and SolidWorks knowledge and experience
* Experience with designing in the manufacturing sector
* Working to set milestones and ensure project delivery is on time
