Fabrication Planner

Fabrication Planner required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Dubai.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts and order requirements.
Coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
Determine the necessary resources (materials, labor, machinery) needed for production.
Allocate resources efficiently to avoid bottlenecks and downtime.
Oversee the procurement of raw materials and ensure their availability as per the production schedule.
Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and avoid shortages or overstocking.
Establish clear workflows and ensure that all stages of production are well-coordinated.
Communicate with production teams to address any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet the required standards.
Monitor the production process for adherence to quality specifications and take corrective actions when necessary.
Track production costs and implement measures to control expenses.
Optimize processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement.
Propose and implement process enhancements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Ensure that all fabrication processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
Promote and enforce safety standards to protect workers and equipment.
Provide technical guidance and support to the production team.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during the fabrication process.
Maintain accurate records of production schedules, material usage, and inventory levels.
Generate reports on production performance, resource utilization, and other key metrics for management review.
Work closely with design, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to align production plans with overall project goals.
Facilitate communication between departments to ensure cohesive operations.
Provide updates on order status and address any concerns or changes in requirements.Requirements

3+ years' experience in the offshore wind industry.
Proficiency in manufacturing resource planning (MRP) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Strong understanding of production processes and workflows.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Strong analytical skills to assess production data and identify areas for improvement.
