White Label are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with a leading engineering business based in the York area in their search for a Design Engineer due to company growth!

Role Synopsis:
The Design & Drafting department plays an important role helping to facilitate the successful delivery of complex projects. The team is made up of multi-disciplined engineers, designers and technical specialists, who collaborate with each other to provide coordinated engineering solutions that meets the defined objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce drawings that are suitable for manufacturing and installation purposes.
* Provide advanced design solutions on projects.
* Produce 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
* Check drawings by others, ensuring their fitness for purpose.
* Act as drafting lead on single and multi-disciplined projects as and when required.
* Liaise with other members of the project team to achieve a coordinated engineering solution that meets the defined objectives.
* Ensure that quality and consistency of output (drawings, models etc.) is always maintained.
* Assist in the development of processes to improve efficiency and project delivery.
The Ideal Person:
* Extensive knowledge of designing and detailing structural steel and sheet metal would be a great advantage
* If you have experience in designing furniture, structural/heavy engineering, modular, caravans, timber, wood, exhibition products or in those industries this would be a great
* Experience of working in the large-scale events, modular, structural, theatre and TV sets, ceremonies, art installations, architectural pavilions industries within a production and/or manufacturing environment would be a great advantage
* Experience in producing manufacturing drawings ideally in Autodesk Inventor but not a MUST – 3d modelling experience is necessary in this role (Solidworks, Solidedge, Revit, etc)
Salary & Benefits
* £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience
* Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4 pm
