This could be the role for you...

Our client is seeking a Test Engineer to join there busy team to provide production support in the test/investigation/diagnosis of all company products and a test lead within the Engineering Team including for the generation of test documentation on current and new products. Performing the calibration on company test equipment and managing the calibration system effectively. Collaborating with the Engineering Team to develop and implement efficient testing procedures for both existing and new products.

Key Responsibilities for the Test Engineer:

Ensure that Company Health and Safety Policy is reflected in all actions.
To provide technical support to production on test process related issues - Fault diagnostics down to component level
Produce/update production test specifications/documentation Provide engineering reports for repaired products, including: Repair Strip Reports Defect Investigation Reports
Provide engineering input to quality metrics using the production test report process
Manage the Calibration Department in line with company processes/procedures Work with production engineering as part of new product introduction
To raise requests on test related issues and complete technical activities as required Produce production repair report
Provide support to engineering team on technical challenges as required
The job holder will also be required to carry out any additional work as deemed necessary by the businessDesired skills and Attributes:

Technical and Expertise: Experience of analogue and digital electronics including fault finding Experience in the use of automated and manual test equipment in a production environment

Education: Degree in Engineering Discipline (Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred) or completed a relevant apprenticeship with experience

Desired knowledge and experience: Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel Minimum of 5 years' experience of the required Defence Industry or an safety critical equivalent industry

Salary and Benefits:
Competitive Salary: £35,000 per annum
Pension: Generous pension contributions
Holiday: 21 days plus bank holidays increasing with length of service. (Buy up to a maximum of one full week)
Flexible working environment: We work a four-day week - 37 hours Monday to Thursday between 6:45am and 17:45pm
