About the role:

You will support the Senior Prosecutions Lawyer in ensuring that the Council receives a cost effective high quality Prosecutions Service and in delivering advice and legal support to the Council in the areas of criminal law and local government law and such other areas and projects as are allocated from time to time.
You will undertake such advocacy as is required from time to time.
Also ensure that all such work is carried out to the requirements of relevant clients and to appropriate professional standards.What's on offer:

Rate of pay: £42 - £60 per hour- Negotiable on experience following a successful interview.

Contract type: Agency 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: 35 hours per week.

Location: SW2. (Hybrid working could be on offer)

Successful Candidate Must Have:

Possess recent experience in local government prosecutions and criminal litigation within a local government context.
You need to have handled licensing matters, including those under the Licensing Act 2003, and preferably have served as a legal advisor to sub-committees formed as a result. Ideally.
