Machinist (Brazing)

My client are looking for an experience Machinist ideally from a tool making background.

Job Role:

My client is seeking seeking an experienced Brazing Machinist to play a critical role in the production of our diamond tooling products.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of brazing techniques, and the ability to work with precision equipment.

This role involves setting up and operating brazing machines to join materials, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate brazing machines to join diamond segments to various substrates.
Interpret technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate brazing processes.
Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain optimal performance and quality.
Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on brazing equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the brazing process.
Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and achieve production goals.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve brazing processes and enhance product quality.

Skills and Experience:

Experience as a Brazing Machinist or similar role, preferably in the diamond tooling industry.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as required.
