Job role / duties

•Manage Transport employees in order to enable the delivery of products to customers within agreed service levels.
•Optimize the use of vehicles and drivers, with strong planning of over 70 vehicles
•Ensure constant contact with the Maintenance team to keep vehicles in optimized condition .
•Produce daily reports of activities, plans and issues
•Investigate driver incidents and accidents.
•Conduct analysis of current processes & procedures in order to implement continuous improvements.
•Update driver holiday, sickness and other breaks onto the appropriate records for weekly wages.
•Assist the admin department to drivers are using PDAs correctly
•Maintain a robust out of hours call rota.
•Monitor software KPIs.
•Assist with the motivation and development of staff, this includes any staff training that may be needed and recruit new drivers where needed
•Drive culture change within the Traffic Office and Drivers to ensure optimum professionals at all times

To be considered for this role you MUST:

Possess a Transport Managers CPC (International)
Have at least 5 Years Management experience within Transport Planning
Ideally come from a corporate background
Have excellent presentation & reporting skills
Be highly computer literate
Have excellent verbal & written communication skills
