Senior Financial Controller (Group)

A fast-growing business with strong focus on ESG & sustainability, with international operations, is searching for a hands-on and enthusiastic professional to be second in command to the Group Financial Controller and supporting the financial reporting activities for the non-UK entities. This position will have also support the Group consolidation, Group accounting policy and certain aspects of Group financial reporting.

Description

• Manage monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting process together with the regional teams outside of UK
• Liaise with reporting entities to ensure a timely and accurate close according to group policy, processes, systems and technical requirements
• Ensure integrity and appropriate understanding/analysis of business units/reporting entities submissions and overall consolidated figures
• Supporting in in development of Group Accounting Policy manual and standard operating procedures to be adopted by finance across the regions
• Ensure and support review of entities reporting package including audit deliverables with critical analysis is performed by the respective controlling/reporting teams
• Improving reporting processes and reporting systems
• Ensuring financial risks are mitigated and identified - maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, cash management etc.
• Specific accounting analysis and accounting issues documentation
• Supporting the legal entity and group audit with strong collaboration with external auditors
• Managing and delivering process improvement around key areas of cash management, order to cash (AR), procure to pay (AP & payments cycle), inventory and CAPEX.
• Leading the integration of new businesses outside of UK, streamlining and centralizing of finance processes
• Ad hoc projects as needed - IFRS transition, governance & compliance, ERP improvements, group chart of accounts.
