Service Engineer
Position: Field Service Engineer
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week plus overtime
Salary: £36,562.12 plus annual bonus, company vehicle, and additional benefits.
Location: Remote-based, servicing sites west midlands and north of west midlands.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join the team, reporting to the UK Technical Services Manager. This is a remote role, operating primarily from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute on-site service tasks based on customer requirements.
Offer feedback for product enhancements and process improvements.
Visit customers to address specific issues or competitive situations as needed.
Deliver exceptional customer service with clear and professional interaction.
Ensure equipment operates within expected tolerances through close collaboration with customers.
Diagnose machine issues on-site and remotely, quickly identifying causes of failure.
Apply electrical and electronic knowledge to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications:
Desirable: HNC in electronic, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:
Working knowledge of electronic and processing equipment for permeation and gas testing.
Proficiency with instrumentation, electronics, tools, and control systems.
Ability to read and interpret repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, and equipment manuals.
Experience with maintenance, repair, and test record preparation and verification.
Valid driver’s license (maximum of 3 penalty points).
