A well established social housing contractor are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to join their team due to an increase in workload and ongoing contracts.
Client Details
The company is a well-established social housing contractor within the property industry and work across a wide range of contracts across the UK. This region covers south Birmingham and they work across a number of contracts working alongside social housing providers, local authorities and housing associations.
Description
Your role will involve working closely alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Predominantly cost management
Subcontractor management
Raising orders
Checking and validating payments
Inputting payments
Liaising with the operations team and revenue team to validate variation claimsThis is a slightly different AQS/QS role but working within an established team with huge scope for progression.
Profile
A successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor should have:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or experience in the role already
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Knowledge of construction processes and materials.
Good understanding of building regulations and legal guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
