Job Description:
The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Coordinate and manage the annual audit process with external auditors.
Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and key metrics.
Evaluate and implement financial systems and software to improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 4 years in a controller or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
