Supplier Quality Engineer
Barnstaple (with a mix of office and home-based working)
Up to £35,000 Depending on experience.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will be Responsible for building in quality with assigned suppliers and improving quality performance via Quality Improvement Plans. You will also Support supplier selection through robust qualification processes working closely with the Supply Chain team to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, new product introductions, and outsourcing opportunities in the supply chain.

Supporting the business in the execution of the supply chain aspects of the Business Management System, including (but not limited) to:
Providing support to the Supplier Development team, in the execution  of improvement and quality support activities.
Processing non-conforming goods delivered by suppliers, including RMA processing, RCCA co-ordination, etc.
Provide Quality Engineering support to the various project teams as required.
Work closely with suppliers regarding the quality aspects of new product introduction by supporting existing or identifying/introducing new processes in the supply chain.
Conduct supplier & internal audits ensuring compliance to company and regulatory requirements. “ 
 The skills you need

Understanding of ISO9001 (Preferably additional experience of AS9100)
Have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with key internal and external stakeholders
A proactive attitude to problem solving to ensure RFT and OTIF requirements are met
The ability to influence and drive change within the supply chain
The ability to travel and work effectively away from the office when required
