Ecommerce Manager

Oakham

Salary Range: £40,000 to £55,000

Hybrid working, 2-3 days a week on-site

Permanent full-time role: Monday to Friday 40 hours a week.

Our client is seeking an Ecommerce Manager to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising our ecommerce websites primarily on Shopify. This role requires strong commercial acumen, analytical skills and technical knowledge of ecommerce platforms.

The role is both strategic and operational and you will be fully accountable for driving the online sales and profit performance and identifying new opportunities to drive growth.

You will be an ecommerce expert, a strong team player and passionate about digital. You will lead and coach a team of ecommerce specialists, as well as work closely with the rest of the digital, marketing and customer service teams.

Your main responsibilities:

To work with the Head of Digital to define a robust and actionable growth strategy for our ecomm activities.

*

Develop, review and present weekly and monthly performance in trading meetings and to the Senior Leadership Team.

*

Deliver a conversion optimisation testing roadmap to ensure that the sites deliver the best shopping experience for our customers.

*

Identify feature developments that will unlock growth.

*

Own and optimise the promotion calendar and work closely with the marketing team to align e-commerce strategies with overall digital marketing efforts.

*

Work with the Ecommerce Executives/Lead to manage and execute the day-to-day operations of our ecommerce websites (merchandising strategies, product categorisation, etc).

*

Own our relationships with third-party agencies and marketing software (dev agency, search, CRO, merchandising, reviews, etc).

*

Project manage new website builds and front-end development projects.

Essential Experience and Skills:

*

At least 4 years’ experience in ecommerce management in a similar, data-driven role.

*

Excellent analytical skills and ability to analyse and interpret data to make informed decisions.

*

Commercially astute, ambitious and professionally driven.

*

Proficient in GA4 and other analytics tools to build insightful reports to track performance, find gaps in the on-site journey and identify growth opportunities.

*

Experience in D2C ecommerce.

*

Experience in coaching, motivating and leading a team.

*

Experience with website build processes.

*

Eligible to work in the UK.

Desired Skills:

*

Experience with Shopify.

*

Previous experience in the outdoor space.

*

Previous experience with international ecommerce sites.
