Event Lead, Oakland Village

£23,692.50 per annum

37.5 hours per week

About the role

This position is to provide a thorough service within the restaurant and to customers at Oakland Village and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Bar & Bistro team.

Key Responsibilities:.

To attend wedding fairs, promote Oakland to the local community.
Deal with all meeting and event enquiries, by Email, Phone, Appointment and Walk in
Make sure Function sheets are communicated to all kitchen and bar/bistro staff and Manager.
Communicate with Manager to ensure staff are available to work events.
Investigate queries regarding billing and charges for Events
Deal with complaints regarding Functions
Assist in room planning, set up and decoration for major events
Planning and create seasonal functions
Ensure event calendar is up to date with relevant event information
Assist in financial administration for events including taking and processing payment of bookings and invoicing with finance assistant.
To have customer focus and ensure customers receive the highest quality of service
Working with Oakland Managers to ensure communications are efficient and appropriate
Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
Clearly communicating internal and external information to the relevant persons
Working with colleagues to maintain good links with the local neighbourhood
Effectively using appropriate IT systems, data collection and monitoring, including reports as required by your line manager
Working with the team to establish valuable networks both internally and externally

About You

We are looking for individuals with relevant experience in providing specialist support that may and will cover a range of activities:

Experience of assisting in a busy bar and/or restaurant environment
Experience in maintaining high standards of customer service and cleanliness
Reliable and punctual
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to develop and establish relationships with colleagues and customers
