Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team for day-to-day supply work across various secondary schools in Derby. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about education and capable of managing classroom environments for Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task with the work they have been set.
Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive learning environment.
Support students in understanding the lesson objectives and ensure they are completing their work to the best of their abilities.
Provide feedback to the regular class teacher about the progress and behavior of students during their absence.
Follow school policies and procedures to maintain a consistent and safe learning environment.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience working with Key Stage 3 and 4 students in secondary schools is essential.
Skills: Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to adapt to different school environments and students' needs.
Driving: Must have a valid driving license and access to a vehicle to travel between schools.
Flexibility: Ability to work on short notice and adapt to different school cultures and teaching styles.
Additional Requirements for Overseas Candidates:
Must have an overseas police check to ensure the safety and security of students.
