An exciting opportunity has arisen within our organisation for Private hire/ Taxi drivers, for our Derbyshire routes. 5 days a week, 4-5 hours a day and competitive day rates.
Our company provides safe, efficient transport for a range of customers. These include older people, adults with learning disabilities and children with special needs. We try to maintain continuity for the children by ensuring that the driver, passenger assistant ( if allocated) and route remain unchanged as much as possible. This means that you will be transporting the same child or children to and from school, 5 days a week, 4-5 hours a day.
Previous driver experience is desirable and you must have held a full UK licence for at least 2 years.
Essential:
* Private Hire/PCO/ Taxi Drivers: 1 year (preferred)
* Own Private hire licensed vehicle 4 seater or more seats (essential)
* Over 25 years old with Full UK driving licence (2 years+)
* Experience working with SEN children (desirable)
* Current valid DBS dated within one year required.
The work entails driving children and adults to and from school and other institutions.
* To ensure passengers are picked up and dropped off at the specified times and locations.
* To always maintain a clean and mechanically sound vehicle.
* A cleaning allowance will be provided. The company will organise any work required to maintain the vehicles road worthiness.
* To always obey all traffic laws.
* Assist passengers getting in and out of the vehicle if required.
* Attend any safeguarding training as required.
* You must be prepared to provide a caring, reliable service.
* Candidates with previous experience in similar roles desirable.
* You will be required to make sure each passenger has a safe, comfortable experience by ensuring travel needs are met.
* You must be patient and caring person.
* You must be professional as well as punctual and polite.
* Above all, you must treat every customer with respect and dignity.

All staff have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults. The post holder will undertake the appropriate level of training and is responsible for ensuring that they understand and work within the safeguarding policies of the organisation”.
