Electrical Biased Maintenance Engineer

Leicester

£48,000 per annum

We are looking for an Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer to work for a manufacturing company in Leicester.

The company is a nationwide rental business who offer bespoke solutions to their customers, offering a vast range of different products that are designed and maintained to provide superior reliability compared to their competitors.

You will provide support in relation to all maintenance tasks and projects being undertaken, including day to day breakdown, PPM, equipment updates, new installations, and building/infrastructure upgrades.

Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer Job Role:

* To ensure all PPM activities are completed on time as required

* To work closely with the Engineer on the opposite shift to ensure all handover of ongoing activities is carried out every day

* To provide knowledge and input into continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities.

* Work with the Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager to identify long running problems and suitable solutions.

* To undertake repairs to equipment in a safe and timely manner ensuring that Production is constantly updated on progress.

* To ensure any risks of safety or failure of equipment or site are communicated to the Manager.

* To work with the Senior Engineer and Engineering Manager to ensure that contractors are working safely on site and adhering to site Health and Safety rules and procedures.

* To maintain knowledge of all spare parts on site for plant.

Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer Hours:

* Rotational shift pattern which will be a mix of days and nights

* Working a average of 38.5 hours per week

Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer Skills Required:

* Electrical Installation 18th Edition.

* Electrical Installation Maintenance.

* Mechanical Fabrication/Maintenance.

* Electronic fault finding to component level.

* Flexible and able to react quickly to the needs of the business.

* Problem solving/analytical ability.

* Flexibility to work unsocial hours, possibly including night shift.

* Must possess a recognised qualification relevant to the role (e.g. mechanical or electrical C&G).

* Skilled in both Electrical and Mechanical trades: Apprenticeship with indentures preferred.

* Preferred knowledge of other engineering disciplines including pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems.
