My client is a well-established firm based in Leicester

They are now looking for a paint sprayer / surface preparation finisher to join them on a 12 week temporary leading to permanent vacancy

Full time role working:

08.00 - 17.00, Mon - Thurs

08.30 - 12.00, Fri

My client is a world leader in low volume production in a variety of industry sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Medical and Commercial products. They have a comprehensive management system in place to meet all the requirements of ISO:9001.

THE PERSON: -

They are seeking a person with experience of surface preparation and paint application to components and assemblies in various materials, preferably with knowledge of application and masking techniques to achieve precision surfaces.

The ideal candidate will be able to follow instructions and marked-up drawings. Some model making experience would be a distinct advantage.

THE ROLE: -

As Surface Preparation/Finisher, they will expect you to ensure that your work is completed to a high standard of quality, consistent across multiple parts and completed in a timely manner in line with our customer’s expectations and production schedules.

JOB SUMMARY

* Preparation and finishing of mainly plastics parts and assemblies ready for painting.

* Working to a high standard of quality whilst meeting client expectations and production schedules

* Being a team player in the workplace by assisting other team members

* Having previous experience in a manufacturing process environment or with spraying and coating applications.

* Maintaining ISO9001 / ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 procedures

* Carry out filler work (full training will be provided)

Essential requirements: -

* To be able to prepare surfaces to a high-quality level without supervision.

* To be able to work under own initiative as well as being a team player.

* To have a experience in a paint finishing environment

* To be organised, professional, with excellent attention to detail

* To be flexible in terms of working hours

* To quality check components throughout the process for defects

* To have experience in priming and preparation of parts.

* To have a safety conscious approach and an acute awareness of Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) (2015)

Salary: Negotiable, dependant on experience
