About the Opportunity
Our client is looking to add to their existing Commercial team with an Mechanical Estimator. The position will require a candidate of experience with the ability of being able to work autonomously as well as within a team. As this is a long-term position candidates ideally should be local and within reasonable commute. Experience within Residential, Healthcare, Commercial and Education projects will be extremely advantageous.
Responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, obtaining all information required to successfully bid and win the project. To manage all costs relating to projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures; seeking to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. To keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 Years of mechanical estimating experience working for a rival contractor. Degree qualified preferred. Most importantly the candidate for this role must be trustworthy, reliable, conscientious, and keen to progress your career further. You will also have to be a highly motivated individual and a strong team player. A consistent employment record is essential with at least two years at each employer.
Salary/ Benefits
Salary will be agreed with each individual on a case-by-case basis depending on previous experience. As a rough guideline I will be targeting individuals whose annual salary is within £45 to £55K you will also receive a company works package
