We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a growing team, where your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our procurement strategies, ensuring the seamless integration of purchasing activities with our commercial, engineering, and manufacturing operations.
As a Procurement Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the procurement and supply chain activities, dedicated to achieving excellence in every aspect of the operations.
Your responsibilities as a Procurement Manager:
* Strategically develop and manage the procurement strategy to align with the company’s growth ambitions and business objectives.
* Lead the selection and management of both direct and indirect suppliers, ensuring robust performance across cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.
* Collaborate closely with the Quality Manager and Manufacturing team to proactively manage supplier performance and resolve any issues efficiently.
* Design and implement a cost-effective, resilient supply chain that supports our production projects from prototype to volume production.
* Negotiate and maintain robust contractual frameworks with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with commercial and business requirements.
* Provide procurement performance insights and reports to the management team supporting the continuous improvement of our procurement processes.
Your current experience which will help you as a Procurement Manager:
* Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in engineering, business, or related subjects, with Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification being highly desirable.
* Extensive experience in procurement within a manufacturing/engineering environment, demonstrating leadership in developing and executing procurement strategies.
* Proven track record in managing supply contracts/framework agreements and understanding sourcing strategies, financial concepts, and business case development.
* Expertise in contract management & negotiation.
* Working knowledge of managing purchasing through an MRP system and familiarity with ISO9001 quality management standards.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present reports to C-suite and board level stakeholders.
