An experienced Business Development Manager with a proven media sales record is needed to join our team at Texere Publishing, a leading publisher in the life science and medical field based in Cheshire on a full-time, hybrid working basis. 

As a BDM, you will focus on bringing in new business as well as managing our loyal and committed client relationships delivering a range of digital solutions from our product and services portfolio. 

We will invest in you, providing a comprehensive development plan, on-the-job training, and support from an experienced media team.

This role offers excellent earning potential with an OTE of £45K+!

Key Responsibilities:

Identify new clients and work with them to create targeted marketing campaigns 
Create meaningful, long-term relationships with existing clients and work consultatively to support their marketing initiatives 
Work to achieve predefined monthly and annual sales targets 
Create and accurately maintain the sales pipeline in the CRM 
Focus on forward planning and be able to manage your time 
Willingness to identify and attend regular client meetings (nationally and internationally) to establish and maintain strong relationships (min 4 per month)
Attend industry events to meet and network with your clients (national and international) 
Liaise with internal departments to ensure the smooth running of your client portfolio
Salesforce and client information must be kept up to date and maintained at all times
Required Experience:

Media sales experience, for example, local/national press, consumer, digital, B2B etc
Must have a proven track record in media sales, both digital and print 
Values and behaviours that are aligned with the company
Exceptional and consistent track record in sales 
Experience in using Salesforce or similar CRM, Google G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office
A good standard of education is essential (degree level desirable), but it is not essential
Required Skills:

Strong communication skills, with a natural flair for conversation A professional manner both on the telephone and face-to-face A passion for sales, attention to detail, and customer service 
The ability to work to targets 
Effective time management 
Ability to work independently without supervision 
An openness to feedback and confidence in working with others
