Procurement Manager

Pure Resourcing Solutions are supporting a privately owned manufacturing company based in Basildon, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join their team, they are looking for both an interim and a permanent replacement for this crucial role.

Job Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Basildon
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 100% office based
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum DOE
Employment Type: Interim and Permanent position available

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the supply chain and procurement functions within the company.
Manage and mentor a team of 2 junior buyers.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery of materials.
Source materials and products from the Far East and other global suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and resolve supply chain issues.Requirements:

Proven experience as a Supply Chain / Procurement Manager.
Strong management experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.
Background in manufacturing is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in sourcing from the Far East.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
