About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrator to join a thriving team in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the Despatch and Operations teams in delivering high-quality services and products. It is a temp-to-perm position with a competitive salary of £25,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will have a background in logistics and despatch, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be providing vital administrative support to ensure that sales orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Despatch and Operations departments.
Logistics Coordination: Assist with the control and management of logistics and despatch activities, requiring exceptional IT skills and extensive experience in logistics.
Task Management: Work closely with the Despatch and Operations Managers to carry out assigned tasks effectively.
Transport Booking: Organise and book transport as needed, ensuring timely and efficient delivery processes.
Label and Courier Coordination: Manage labels and collections for couriers to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
Health and Safety: Be vigilant and aware of health and safety regulations, always ensuring compliance.
Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake any additional tasks as directed by management to support team goals and project requirements.
 
Skills and Experience:
Logistics Expertise: Experience in logistics and despatch is desirable.
Organisational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and external partners.
Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with particular emphasis on Excel.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Multitasking: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and proactively
