The role

Vision for Education are proud to be working in partnership with a highly desirable independent school in the Cambridge area to recruit a Teacher of Chemistry for a permanent position.  This role is a part-time position with a work pattern that is 0.7fte (3 and a half days a week).  This exciting role will consist of teaching all sciences at Key Stage 3 and teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A-Level.  You will be joining an experienced, supportive, and high achieving science department.

The main purpose of the role is to impact positively on student achievement and attainment through planning and delivering high quality lessons.

Main duties of this Teacher of Chemistry role include:

Plan teaching to achieve good or better progress in student learning
To bring to life the practical and investigative nature of the subject
Use data and assessment information to inform planning
Set high expectations of student behaviour and develop positive relationships with both learners and colleagues
Collaborate with other departmental members to develop schemes of work

Requirements
Experience and qualifications required for this Teacher of Science position:

PGCE (or equivalent) with QTS/QTLS is essential
Recent experience of teaching the current British national curriculum in schools
Be a strong practitioner with the ability to teach Chemistry to A-Level
Confident with assessment and reporting
