SENIOR TOWN PLANNER
BIRMINGHAM (Hybrid)
SALARY: Up to £50,000 pa dependent upon experience

Overview

They have an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Town Planner to join their talented and dedicated planning team.  They are keen to hear from anyone with a passion for Town Planning and who would relish the opportunity to work on a broad variety of landmark projects across a diverse range of sectors from retail, residential and education to defence, renewables and utilities.

About the role

Our client works on behalf of both public and private sector clients, and are proud of their diverse range of projects, providing you with fantastic opportunities to broaden your horizons and develop your skillset across planning.

They provide advice across the entire spectrum of development schemes, from initial feasibility studies, site visits, through to the submission of large-scale planning applications and appeals. They have strong local and national networks and a collaborative team culture. This will see you working closely with colleagues across their northern team. 

Working across the team’s diverse project base, you will be responsible for preparing site appraisals, development plan representations, submitting planning (and other) applications and appeals and advising clients generally.

About you

Our client is looking for RTPI accredited Town Planners with proven experience in a similar role or looking to step up. You may be presently working in a local authority, consultancy or for a developer or housebuilder. You will be capable of managing a varied workload and be confident taking on the responsibility for the day-to-day management of concurrently running projects. To be successful in the role you will have the following key skills and experience:

be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, and the ability to work under your own initiative to meet client’s expectations.
