Mencap is recruiting for a Practice Advisor to join our team on a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed-term (12 months) basis. This role is home-based, with regular travel to various parts of the country as required.
We support over 5,000 people across our services, and our commitment is to ensure they receive the best possible support. This means providing stable and reliable support, fostering great experiences and outcomes through skilled and dedicated teams, with person-centred practice at the core of our work.
To enhance this commitment, we are looking for a Practice Advisor to join our Quality Directorate. The successful candidate will focus on supporting the implementation of our plans to build organisational confidence in using Positive Behavioural Support.

Essential skills and experiences required for this role:

Troubleshooting complex issues
Effective communication skills across all levels and the ability to build strong working relationships
Coaching, developing, and motivating colleagues
Experience in developing Positive Behaviour Support plans
Knowledge of learning disabilities and associated conditions
Knowledge of support strategies for people with complex needs
