Ironstone Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s Registered Manager to register, develop and oversee a fabulous home within the rural Accrington and Rochdale area.

We are looking for an experienced professional manager to build, develop and support their team and provide a caring and nurturing environment for the children we care for. Your key responsibilities as the Registered Manager:

As the Registered Manager you will have full autonomy of your home, you’ll be integral to the smooth running of daily life within your home, enabling young people to thrive. You’ll inspire and lead your team to run a warm and friendly home, providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to help them achieve positive outcomes.

You will achieve compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and ensure your home is always able to evidence a high standard of care and quality. You will be responsible for the organisation of work patterns, facilitation of training, and the access of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within your homes.

You will lead by example in ensuring a therapeutic approach is taken to meet the needs of the children.

The successful candidate will have:

NVQ/QCF level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young People’s Workforce or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management (Residential Childcare)

Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing an Ofsted home that carries a rating of good or above.

Have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviors including mental health and behavioral problems

Full UK Driving license

Excellent knowledge of current legislations The Children’s Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children’s Act 1989, Children Act 2004 alongside all other legislations that are relevant to residential children’s homes
