Inspector (132jc) - Kelbrook, Lancashire – up to £29k + Benefits

A specialist aviation company who works on a variety of aviation gas turbines are now seeking to recruit an additional Test Cell Technician to join their rapidly expanding company.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

In this role you will be reporting to the Line Manager, and your responsibility for the visual and dimensional inspection of Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 engine components to achieve the performance targets and quality standards required in order to maximise customer satisfaction and maintain competitive advantage.

So therefore, your duties and responsibilities will include:

* Visual and dimensional inspection of Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 engine components in accordance with approved maintenance data.

* Generation of component repair cards based upon inspection findings.

* Final post repair inspection of components.

* Receipt inspection of components sourced from external sources.

* Reading and interpreting engine overhaul manuals, including technical drawings and relating these to applicable service bulletins.

* Ensure that processes and procedures are followed to ensure all tasks achieve agreed quality standards and deadlines in line with customer, OEM and Company requirements

* Ensure positive working relationships and open communications within and across functional teams to facilitate effective team working.

* Identify opportunities for improvement processes, in working practices and team efficiency within the Production arena.

* Employee must be aware of, and adhere to, the Company’s Confidentiality Protection and IT Security Policies.

* Agree personal development needs with the Line Manager and ensure that training action plans are progressed and completed.

* Act in accordance with the duties and responsibilities stipulated in the Quality Manual and the Management Organisation Exposition (MOE).

To be eligible for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

* Relevant combination of experience and education that will provide the required knowledge on gas turbine engines.

* Minimum 5 years inspection experience within the aerospace sector

* Knowledge and experience of NDT will be an advantage.

* Ability to maintain focus and work in methodical manner, with great attention to detail is essential.

* Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing and to maintain records.

The ideal candidate would probably come from an Aviation Engineering background who is seeking to continue in this sector as they are willing to train and fund candidates to gain their relevant B licences as needed.
