2BM Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with our client in Deeside who have a requirement for a Permanent Buyer / Material Planner on a full-time basis. As a Buyer / Material Planner you will work as part of a small team to ensure the timley planning and scheduling of purchasied parts to meet production demands. Purchasing goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets. Working with procurement, supply chain, and production colleagues at other sites in the UK, and Globally to ensure that the supply of key materials is maximised through volume purchasing benefits.
Key Responsibilities Buyer/ Material Planner:
* Schedule and forcast the correct volumes of materials, goods and inbound products.
* Maintaining the supply of key materials for a global manufucturing plant.
* You will undertake strategic sourcing activities and work closely with procurement colleagues to review business opportunities and help to shape purchasing decisions including materials and energy contracts.
* You will also be responsible for sourcing and delivering projects given to you by the procurement manager to develop supplier strategies.
* We are looking for a career driven person that is passionate about procurement and can prepare and review data towards monthly reports.
We’re extremely keen to talk to people who have the following experiences material scheduler / controller, expediter, stock levels, inventory levels, scheduling, lead times, reorder material, logistics, procurement / supply chain or transactional buyer.
* Excellent attention to detail with the skills to work as part of a team or independently.
* You must be willing to occasionally travel to other sites and potentially Europe to visit head office for training.
* This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and qualifications within procurement so you must be results driven and ambitious with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* We are essentially looking for a candidate that has previous work experience as a Buyer, purchasing goods, materials planner, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
* Key skills including, negotiation, strategic thinking, organisation & IT including Microsoft Packages & ERP systems.
* You may already be CIPS qualified but if not please still apply if you are prepared to gain qualification with full company financial support.
