We currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a leading FMCG manufacturer with a history dating back 50 years in Aintree to now supplying the UK’s major supermarkets as well as any outlet requiring snacks!! This is a full time, permanent role working Monday – Friday 9am-5pm (flexibility to alter start/ finish times) offering a salary of £40-45,000 per annum plus benefits including gym membership, hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home) and flexitime!
 
As Business Development Manager reporting directly into the CEO covering the Aintree region, you will proactively manage customer accounts, ensuring successful sales growth, as well as exploring and winning new business in the area. As Business Development Manager, you will manage cost price analysis processes, set, and deliver customer business plans, and manage stock levels in your region. Your key responsibilities will include:

Explore opportunities to develop product lines and be in tune with customers through regular review and analysis of product ranges and qualities.
To utilise market data, identify areas for sales potential, and develop internal delivery plans.
Develop and maintain an understanding of all aspects on price parameters, current, past, and future to ensure awareness of the pricing structures that can be achieved for all product ranges and varieties.
Provide advice on pricing of all product ranges.
Ensure full and accurate implementation of pricing systems.
To work closely with the NPD and technical teams, to translate NPD briefs from customers to practical briefs, obtaining accurate costings for tender briefs and work on new product projects from concept to launch.
Develop and write customer business plan, agreeing anticipated activity/volume levels and percentage split for all products by line detail.
Negotiate prices, volumes, and values with customer. Ensure cost prices are entered on system; provide written confirmation of agreed prices to customers and resolve cost price queries.
Ensure full and effective utilisation of IT systems to monitor procurement availability.
Plan promotional activities, ensure procurement availability and agree pricing structures.
Identify and communicate requirements to adjust planned selling strategies i.e. reduce or increase planned stock movements 
We are keen to hear from candidates with the following experience:

Proven sales experience within a similar role – BDM, Business Development Executive, Account Manager, External Sales
Previous sales experience from the food, snacks, beverage, or FMCG sector would be highly advantageous
Driven, proactive and self-motivated with a successful track in achieving and exceeding targets
Possess both excellent account management skills as well as the hunger to win new business
Demonstrable communication skills with the ability to build rapport easily and engage with individuals at any level of the business
Full UK Driving License
