IT Support Technician

Salary: 22,000 GBP/Year

We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician to join this Society at their head office in Manchester. You will take on the role of providing IT support to staff at their Head Office in Manchester, as well as remote support to their branches around the UK.

About the role
As IT Support Technician, duties will include:

Providing first line support to staff with IT queries at head office and branches via telephone, email and remote support tools
Troubleshooting general computer issues based on information given by staff
Installation, setup and upgrade of devices such as PCs and laptops
Maintaining records on the IT asset system
Assisting with the management of the society’s intranet, working with other departments to obtain content for the intranet, uploading documents, creating and modifying pages using the CMS
Assisting the IT team with any other tasks
About the hours / rate of pay
In the role of IT Support Technician you will work 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4pm on Friday and there is a salary on offer of £22,000 per annum.

About you
As IT Support Technician, you must have/be:

Good understanding of Microsoft Office (2016 or later preferred)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Windows 10 or later preferred)
Well organised and able to manage own workload
Commitment to delivering impeccable customer service
Good telephone manner
Ability to troubleshoot issues
Proactive and enthusiastic
Committed to working as part of a team
Hands-on attitude and a passion for IT
Willingness to develop and learn new skills
Desirable Skills

Previous experience working in an IT support role
Basic understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory 
Basic understanding of virtualisation
