Balance Sheet Accountant | Central Manchester | PE Group | £50k-£55k + bonus

A long term client of Axon Moore who continue to experience extraordinary growth are looking to add a new position to their already strong finance function.
Based in Central Manchester (3 days a week), the Balance Sheet Accountant will play a key role in the finance function, maintaining a meticulous balance sheet, and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of business performance, alongside future forecasting.

This role will give you the opportunity to work on challenging projects that can give you exposure into various aspects of a fast growing PE Group.
We are eager to speak to any individual who is fully qualified (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) and has a strong background in balance sheet accounting, coupled with excellent analytical skills. Ideal candidates would have gained experience working in a large Group business with the ability to demonstrate multiple entity balance sheet control.

Principal Responsibilities

• Forecasting group balance sheet and cashflow for 3 years
• Working with management accounts team to understand balances and accurately keep schedules of how they will unwind by entity.
• Building integrated balance sheet and cashflow forecasts for any proposed business venture we enter into
• Managing group capex and spend vs budget
• Managing commercial intercompany loans between entities
• Calculating net debts by entity for valuation purposes
• Working with treasury team to maintain a 4 week cashflow forecast
• Challenge management accounts actuals vs flash balance sheet forecast

Essential

• Qualification Requirements: Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA
• Proficient knowledge and understanding of UK accounting standards
• Ability to manage projects / audits often with conflicting deadlines to meet statutory deadlines
• Proficient in navigating and operating accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong organisation, communication and presentation skills
• Confident, tactful individual who is self-motivated and approachable
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a team as well as individually
• Leadership skills
• Willingness to learn and a strong desire to develop new skills
Desirable

• Previous experience of working in a PE Group
• SAP exposure
