Swift Specialist are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer for one of our most prestigious Manufacturing clients based in Preston.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and execute repairs promptly to minimise downtime.
* Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment.
* Carry out scheduled work tasks and reports.
* Manage stock of components and fittings, reordering as required.
* Operation of CMMS system.
* Completion of PPMs.
* Liaise with supplier reps.
* Maintain accurate service records and history reports.
* Understand and comply with ‘lockout tagout’ procedures, COMAH etc.
* Any other reasonable duties assigned by the department manager.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications
* City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above in Engineering
* Knowledge of FMCGs machinery
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a general engineering role
