Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Rail

About Us: Join a leading player in the Rail sector as a Quantity Surveyor, operating within our esteemed Rail Business Unit. As an integral part of their Commercial team, you'll contribute significantly to achieving exceptional commercial outcomes. Your role involves pivotal responsibilities in project delivery, commercial reporting, and profit optimization.

Role Overview: Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will collaborate closely with the commercial team to support the contract delivery team. Your focus will be on ensuring profitability, effective cash management, stringent cost control, and accurate reporting across all projects.

Key responsibilities include:

* Active participation in application and credit control processes.

* Mastery of income forecast comprehension and variation pricing.

* Implementation and management of change control systems.

* Assessment and mitigation of project risks.

* Production of accurate Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) and Cost to Complete (CTC) reports.

* Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting.

* Understanding of subcontract cycles and documentation.

Key Responsibilities: As a Quantity Surveyor, you are expected to:

* Contribute to meeting forecasted turnover, profit, and income targets promptly.

* Ensure timely production of precise internal accounts and internal/external reports/audits.

* Provide accurate cost and forecasting information in a timely manner.

* Implement and contribute to the change control system.

* Facilitate prompt placement and payment of subcontracts and maintain subcontract Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
