FinTech RS are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Credit Controller based in the South side of Aberdeen. This is a permanent, full time position, based in the office.
Main duties include:
* Follow up with clients on outstanding debts, making sure that a thorough, professional, and efficient approach is used at all times.
* Answer questions from customers and make sure the right steps are taken to guarantee on-time payments, such as raising credit notes when necessary and communicating with operations or account managers.
* Be proactive and communicate with the customer before the invoice due date, especially for high-value invoices, to make sure there are no payment delays.
* Examine and update stop lists, letters, and declarations.
* Help with self-billing accounts, processing periodic or special invoices, submitting invoices, and keeping track of them through customer portals.
* Examine a new customer's creditworthiness and periodically compare their spending to the maximum and average amounts.
* Help create new customer accounts, update existing data, and guarantee data accuracy.
Suitable candidates should have the following:
* Prior experience within Credit Control is essential
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
* Good communication and team working skills, with a cooperative approach and a strong work ethic
* Knowledge of VAT regulations and Withholding Tax requirements is desirable, but not essential
