Full Stack Web Developer
£450-£500pd Outside IR35, 6 Month Contract
Predominantly Remote (2-4 days per month in Central London)
Website Redesign for Leading Publisher
Our client is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Developer to join their inclusive and collaborative team to work on a website redesign for a leading household name in publishing. This contract is expected to last six months and is predominantly remote, requiring 2 to 4 days on the client site each month. The rest of the work can be conducted remotely from home.
As a Full-Stack Web Developer, you will assist in the comprehensive redesign of the website. You will deliver on feature development, web architecture, email marketing integration, systems integration, data capture forms, agile development, performance management and backend management
To apply for this Full Stack Developer role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:
Shopify Experience: Proven experience working with Shopify.
Headless WordPress: Expertise in Headless WordPress or similar platforms, including Multi Site.
Gutenberg Blocks: Experience creating, amending, and updating Gutenberg Blocks (both front and backend).
React: Proficiency with React is essential.
Tracking and Data Layer: Experience in implementing and maintaining tracking via the data layer.
WordPress Themes: Skilled in developing and converting designs into WordPress themes.
Front-End Languages: Strong knowledge of multiple front-end languages, including PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, React/Next.js, SCSS, CSS, and JQuery.
Web Architecture: Good understanding of web architecture and responsive design principles.
PHP and MySQL: Strong understanding of PHP back-end development and MySQL databases.
User Interface Development: Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
API Integration: Knowledge of interacting with GraphQL data and RESTful APIs (JSON, XML).
Debugging Tools: Proficiency in using debugging tools.
Testing: Experience in unit/integration testing.
Version Control and CI/CD: Proficiency with version control (GitHub) and CI/CD platforms (e.g., Buddy, GitHub Actions).
