Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Employee Relations Adviser to join their HR team for a 6 month contract, which could possibly be extended. Job Summary:
The Senior Employee Relations Adviser will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on a wide range of employee relations issues. The successful candidate will work closely with management and employees to foster a positive work environment, ensure compliance with employment laws, and handle complex employee relations matters with professionalism and sensitivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert advice on employee relations issues including grievances, disciplinaries, performance management, and conflict resolution.
* Develop and implement employee relations strategies that align with the company’s goals and values.
* Conduct investigations into complex employee relations issues and recommend appropriate actions.
* Advise and coach managers on best practices in employee relations and employment law.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation and company policies.
* Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
* Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and workplace culture.
* Manage and resolve cases of absenteeism, harassment, and other workplace concerns.
* Prepare and present reports on employee relations metrics and trends to senior management.
Qualifications:
* Experience in employee relations, ideally with experience in a senior advisory role.
* Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in employee relations.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Proven ability to handle sensitive and complex employee relations issues with discretion.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret HR metrics and data.
* Experience in coaching and advising managers on employee relations matters.
* Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD) is highly desirable.
