Facilities Project Engineer

Siemens Healthineers has an opportunity for a facilities project engineer to join the existing facilities team, which covers both ongoing maintenance and improvement projects to the current production facilities. The team ensures that the operation of the current production and office areas is compliant, effective, and efficient, covering both hard and soft services. Siemens Healthineers are in the process of building a new production facility in Bicester and the project engineer will be the link between the facilities team and the new factory delivery team.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

* Co-ordinate the capital projects for the facilities department, prepare justifications for new project approvals, and track projects for timing, quality, and cost.

* Take responsibility for several facilities capital projects from concept through to completion. Including developing the initial concepts, generating the specifications, placing the orders, controlling the contractors on site, and finally accepting the works.

* The projects will cover a wide range of facilities areas and systems, including small building works, heating and cooling systems, fire systems, security systems and utility electricity, compressed air, and water.

* Work with the soft service suppliers as required to develop and improve their provision to Siemens Healthineers, cleaning, waste, security, and catering.

* The facilities project engineer will be responsible for coordinating the facilities teams’ interactions and responses to the new factory delivery team. To ensure the new facility infrastructure efficiently and effectively supports production at the minimum whole life cycle cost.

Your qualifications and experience:

* Experience running multiple projects ranging in scale and duration.

* Experience maintaining and improving a wide range of building and utility systems. Knowledge of some of the following systems would be expected, minor building works, general modifications to production and office environments, heating and cooling systems, electrical and compressed air installations.

* Proven experience of managing contractors onsite ensuring a safe working environment.

* Experience reviewing method statements and risk assessments.

* Good working knowledge of CDM (Construction Design Management)

* A degree in engineering or extensive equivalent experience.

* Working knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D layout development.
