Position: Design Manager – Joinery Bias

Location: East Sussex

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join our client who manufacture and install bespoke joinery, into some of the world’s most exclusive residential properties, ancient and historic UK buildings and corporate landmark developments.

The Design Manager will be responsible for:

* Review quotations and maximise the benefit to the Company when producing working drawings.

* The Design Manager will manage an in-house team of CAD technicians to facilitate drawings for approval and construction.

* Review Project Design Briefs, including reference to specifications and drawings.

* Attend site to undertake site surveys, including setting out to grids and datums.

* Attend site to provide coordination with project professional teams, including Clients, Architects, Project Managers and Cost Consultants.

* Produce minutes from professional team meetings

* The Design Manager Co-ordinate all details and interfaces with other trade contractors.

* Research all necessary design devolvement to produce working

The Design Manager will be:

* Proficient in the use of one of at least one of the following: AutoCad / iX / Inventor / SolidWorks

* Capable to work individually, as well as part of a wider team, facilitating the delivery of project drawings.

* Able to detail both traditional and modern types of joinery.

* Able to deliver information in an accurate and timely manner, in line with programme requirements.

* Aware of regulations in respect of design, to ensure consideration is given to the design of products from a Health and Safety perspective.

* Expected to undertake overtime, as and when required, to achieve project requirements.
