An exciting opportunity has come up for a Collections Officer to join our vibrant Collections Team on a full time and permanent basis based between our Ealing and Westminster Bridge Road office.

What you’ll need:

* Experience in a customer facing environment dealing with debt collection, ideally in a housing environment or similar.

* Experience and understanding in rent arrears, possession action including attending court and evictions.

* Experience and understanding in welfare benefits, universal credit and housing benefit.

* Be confident in using all Microsoft packages.

* Have proven time management, negotiation, and prioritisation skills.

* Have the ability to work under pressure in a target focused environment.

* Be a collaborative individual focused on achieving a common goal.

A bit about the role:
As a Collections Officer, you will be the first point of contact for effectively managing tenant arrears with a strong focus on income collection maximisation and customer relations. Exhausting a set of agreed policies and procedures and through using data to ensure the delivery of a rent collection and arrears service which meets targets whilst helping customers to manage debt and sustain their tenancies.

Some of the key results for the role include:

* Maximising cash collection, reducing rent arrears and preventing evictions and thereby sustaining tenancies.

* Embodying Peabody’s values and demonstrating excellent customer service.

* Adapting to changing internal and external factors and legislation and maximising collaboration with the Financial Inclusion and support teams.

This role will require a minimum of 1 - 2 days in the office.
