EVENT MANAGER
HEALTHCARE EVENTS
We are recruiting a highly organized Event Manager to join our MA Healthcare division. Our conferences and events are key to enhancing clinical practice by leveraging in-depth research from our program planners and the extensive experience of our parent company, which publishes leading healthcare journals.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of 28 events, comprising 2 prestigious awards and 6 engaging webinars. You'll also have the chance to oversee two major events in the US. Join a team that makes a significant impact on the healthcare industry
This is a fixed hybrid role, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Herne Hill office, with a salary range of £40,000 -£45,000 (DOE) plus bonus and company benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain relationships with sponsors and industry professionals to drive revenues.
* Manage multiple projects across various subjects, adhering to time and budget constraints.
* Foster excellent interpersonal relationships with other teams and individuals within MA Healthcare.
* Collaborate with suppliers and venues to ensure they meet Medtech and ABPI guidelines, are appropriate, and are cost-effective.
* Working with knowledgeable program writers and consultants ensures high-quality events featuring renowned KOL speakers.
* Lead a team to meet standards, ensure timely promotion, address training needs, mentor, solve problems, and lead by example.
* Achieve revenue and gross profit targets for all events in the business plan.
* Effectively budget and control costs.
* Produce accurate quarterly forecasts.
* Develop business plans for conferences, exhibitions, roadshows, and events.
* Ensure minimum delegate, sponsorship, and exhibition yields are met.
* Report monthly on progress against the business plan and forecasts.
* Present clear analyses of delegate numbers, sponsorship, and exhibitor revenues against break-even and budgeted targets at executive meetings.
* Manage two direct reports.
