Our client, a regional main contractor based on the South Coast, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to deliver a new £15 million scheme on the outskirts of Portsmouth.

This project will commence work at the end of July and involves the construction of new retail units and shops with commercial office space. It will include a range of external packages, such as frames, structure, and access roads, with shell and core initially. Later in the program, the fit-out will be managed in-house.

The client is looking to interview ASAP, with a start date in July or August.

Role Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Take charge of the project from conception to completion, overseeing all aspects of construction activities, budget management, scheduling, and quality control.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project objectives are met and expectations are exceeded.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the safety of personnel and adherence to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
Team Management: Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and safety on the construction site.Requirements:

Proven experience managing commercial, industrial or retail projects.
Experience with external or internal packages.
Good leadership and communication skills to keep teams motivated.
Ability to solve problems effectively when challenges arise.
A strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
Relevant certifications and qualifications (CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, etc.).How to Apply:
