Junior Vessel Operator
My client, based in Eastleigh, is a specialist in the worldwide transportation of Yachts & Super yachts, Commercial Cargo as well as Freight Forwarding and Courier Services. They are looking for a junior vessel operator to join their fast-paced and dynamic team. You would be playing a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of maritime logistics.
This role would suit a recent graduate looking to develop their career within the maritime and vessel industry. This role would give you the opportunity to join a forward thinking company, with opportunities to develop your career.
Responsibilities
Assist vessel operators in coordinating vessel schedules, including arrival, departure, and port activities.
Monitor vessel movements and maintain accurate records of data e.g. vessel positions.
Communicate effectively with clients, port authorities, and stakeholders, ensuring the smooth running of operations.
Ensuring vessels meet all compliances with safety regulations and procedures.
Provide updates to clients regarding vessel schedules, delays, and any relevant operational issues.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in vessel operations management. Requirements
Background in maritime industry would be beneficial.
Strong IT skills.
Great customer service and communication skills - both verbal and written.
Self-motivated, with a can do attitudeCompany Remuneration
Salary - £30,000
Hybrid working scheme after training is complete
Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, flexibility is sometimes required
