Are you a qualified and experience Residential Conveyancer, looking for your next, challenging step up the management ladder?
GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with an award winning, highly recognisable Legal Firm, located in Gloucester. We are supporting their recruitment for a Head of Legal Residential Conveyancer to join the firm on s full time, permanent contract.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday with hybrid working offered, 3 days office, 2 days from home. On offer is a HIGHLY competitive basic salary, plus bonus and excellent company benefits.
Main duties:
* As Residential Conveyancer, you will provide technical legal guidance, support, and supervision of legal work across all transactional teams and be responsible for developing the technical competencies of staff, ensuring the advice provided is compliant with trade body standards and SRA regulations.
* You will lead the improvement of the quality control systems and introduce a robust peer-to-peer review process.
* Leading a team of qualified and qualifying lawyers, developing them to achieve their career objectives.
* Attend trade seminars and events, building a profile for the business as the leading technical expert in your field.
Required skills and experience:
* To be considered you must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 7 years’ experience running a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
* Strong knowledge and experience in residential conveyancing including:
* Full range of sale, purchase, and remortgage matters.
* Leasehold and lease extension work.
* Equity release (advantageous, but not essential).
* SDLT requirements including relevant reliefs and exemptions, in residential conveyancing matters.
* Dealing with unregistered properties.
* Team management skills with proven ability to develop, coach, and mentor team members.
