Job title: Y2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Bristol
Contract: Starting 15/04/2024 until end of academic year
Hours: 8:30 to 3:30 - Monday to Friday
Pay rate: £85-£95 per day
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience working as a 1:1 TA or with small groups of children? We are seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join a large primary school in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to support an autistic child in Y2. Starting from after the Easter break, and most likely going beyond the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote positive behaviour management strategies and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to the Y2 Class Teacher
Assist with classroom organization and maintenance of resources
Support students' social and emotional development through effective communication and rapport-building
Requirements:
Previous 1:1 experience or working with KS1 children (highly preferable)
A patient and nurturing approach to supporting children's learning and development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with staff
Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the classroom and students
Basic knowledge of the national curriculum and educational practices
